Pakistan Actress Veena Malik hot photo scandal with FHM

Pakistani actress Veena Malik, denied posing nacked for FHM magazine, India. She has concluded to sue the popular Indian men's magazine for millions of dollars. She claims that the magazine cover picture was doctored, after the racy Photoshoot in the December.
FHM magazine, India has defended the cover of its latest Magazine which shows Veena Malik nude picture.
Kabeer Sharma, the Editor of FHM told AFP at the weekend that he was suprised at Malik's allegations.
"Maybe she is facing some kind of backlash, so maybe that's why she is denying it.
"We have not photoshopped or faked the cover. This is what she looks like, she has an amazing body," Sharma said.
While Malik's pose preserves a scant degree of modesty, any nudity is still very much frowned upon in conservative India -- and indeed in Muslim-majority Pakistan.
What has raised more eyebrows was her arm sporting the initials ISI -- the acronym for Inter Services Intelligence, Pakistan's spy agency.
Nuclear-armed India and Pakistan have gone to war three times and the ISI has been routinely accused by New Delhi of masterminding militant attacks on Indian soil.
Sharma said the idea had been to take an ironic swipe at India's obsession with the ISI. A tag line on the cover which points to the initials, reads: "Hand in the end of the world too?"
"People, especially young people in both countries, want to move past this kind of thinking," the editor said.
"It's a very powerful picture -- it took a lot of guts for her to do that. It shows a powerful, sexy woman not afraid to speak her mind."
Malik is already known in India for appearing on "Big Boss", the country's version of the television reality show "Big Brother".
Speaking to Pakistan's Geo TV on Saturday, Malik insisted the nude photos were faked.
"I agreed to a photo shoot and having an ISI tattoo in a humorous way but I did not have any nude photos. My pictures have been morphed," she said.
Sharma responded on his Twitter site Monday, saying he would release a series of photos from the shoot proving his version of the story.
Same sex marriage should be abolished

An Abuja-based Islamic scholar, Malam Abdulkadir Apaokagi, on December 4 in Abuja, called for death penalty for same sex marriage in Nigeria.
Malam Abdulkadir i in a sermon at the weekly prayer session of NASFAT, said gays in Nigeria were perverts who did not deserve to co-exist with right thinking and normal people in the society.
“Gays were worse than murderers, and deserve stiffer penalty than those accused of killing fellow human beings” He said.
“Homosexuality and lesbianism are just too dirty in the sight of Allah, those who engage in them deserve more than capital punishment. When they are killed, their corpse should also be mistreated.” He explained.
Apaokagi, who is the deputy chief Imam at the Abuja branch of NASFAT, said in his lecture entitled: “The position of Islam on gay marriage” that gay people were mentally unstable and could bring severe instability to the society in which they lived.
“None of them can pass a psychiatric test, because they are not normal,” he said.
The scholar’s sermon came against the background of a recent law passed by the Senate banning same-sex marriage and public display of affection by gays in Nigeria.
The bill, “Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) bill 2011” also prescribed 14 years jail sentence for convicted gays in Nigeria.
Quoting from the Quran, Apaokagi hailed the Senate for passing the law, saying that Allah decreed marriages only between members of the opposite sex.
“Any society that tolerates gay marriage would come to destruction the way God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for sodomy.
“They are criminals, Allah Himself describes them so, and it is great that the Senate has criminalised what they are trying to do.”
He urged the House of Representatives to take a cue from the Senate, and pass its own version of the bill without delay so that President Goodluck Jonathan could sign a harmonised version into law.
Apaokagi also urged Nigerians to ignore criticisms from the West, and come together as one to fight practices that might bring destruction to the country.

ASUU on 4th December concluded not to go back to work until its demands are met by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
It was reported by The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that ASUU began a nationwide indefinite strike on Sunday December 4 at midnight.
The President of ASUU, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, said in a telephone interview from his Abuja base that there was ``no going back until government showed some level of commitment to implementation of the agreement.
``Government had firmly assured us that they would look into the issue in November and we were all hopeful that they would do something, having signed the MOU.
``We are surprised that they still could not live up to their promise yet again, maybe they are just playing games with us.
``As a result of this, I had to meet with the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the union, which then decided to embark on this strike".
He regretted the development, saying that what the union was fighting for was to ensure the repositioning of the education system, which would translate into meaningful contribution to national development.
``We are still open to discussion, but this time, we would insist that the approach to such discussions be frankness and sincerity of purpose,'' he said.
NAN reports that ASUU entered into an agreement with the government in 2009, seeking to revamp the education system, provision of funds for research and development, and university autonomy, among others.
The Union had on Sept. 26 this year signed a MoU with the Federal Government, after a two-week warning strike on the same issue.
Government was said to have assured the lecturers-- during the signing of the MoU-- that it would look into their grievances within two months and come up with positive results by the Monday Nov. 28.

Scarcity of Lecturers In Olabisi Onabanjo University Worries Asuu

The Chairman of ASUU in OOU - Olabisi Onabanjo University, Dr. Adesola Nasir, has raised the alarm over the dearth of lecturers and students in the institution, leading to her failure to fill the admission quota.
Mr. Adesola, as he addressed newsmen at the university’s mini campus, Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu, over the looming ASUU national strike against the Federal Government’s alleged failure to implement the 2009 agreement, lamented that the ASUU was perturbed that OOU is still unable to fill the admission quota given to it by the NUC, for the 2010 admission.
According to him, “this year, we are still struggling to fill our quota.
It is saddening if we remember that OOU used to be over subscribed just three years ago. The quota went down two years ago, the governing council constituted by the last government of Ogun State, unleashed terror on both staff and students of this university, such that over 150 lecturers were sacked without recourse to due process,” he said.
Tracing the causes of the problems ravaging the state-owned institution, Adesola said: “The most worrisome is that the past governing council published in the dailies that most of the certificates carried by OOU graduates cannot be trusted, saying that the certificates are fake.
“All the students and those that have graduated are carrying the stigma. So, parents have read those things and why will a parent bring his/her child to a school whose certificates cannot be trusted. The other one is shortage of lecturers and shortage of staff, and whenever exams are concluded, it takes many weeks or months to compute results. So, these are the problems until we have enough staff to handle courses.
“These are the reason students do not come here, but there is a way out, which is that the lecturers in this university, who have been unjustly sacked must be brought back immediately. We must start a programme of rapid development of academic staff. Until we do that, we will continue to be in this comatose stage,” ASUU submitted.
The ASUU, however, said the state government must treat the institution as a university, saying that the university must be adequately funded. He claimed that,”the last government virtually killed this university because, for almost a year, the government was releasing half of what is needed to pay salaries and even that was not regular and when lecturers are not paid how can they be committed”, he said.
Dr. Adesola , who gave a hint that the ASUU might embark on a strike as members of the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the union will converge on the University of Port-Harcourt, River State, to deliberate on the next step to take over the Federal Government’s failure to implement the agreement.
Boko Haram: Father Says The Suspect Is Mentally Derailed

The investigations by State Security Service (SSS) into the alleged complicity of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume and the activities of the Boko Haram in Nigeria, took a new form, as one Alhaji Sanda Konduga, who claimed to be the father of one of the suspects, Ali Sanda Konduga, says that his son is mentally derailed.
The SSS had based its arrest of Ndume on the confessions of the suspect. The SSS, yesterday, rose in defense of its actions, insisting that its investigations would continue and that it would not be manipulated.
The press released by the said Alhaji Sanda Konduga on December 1, 2011, in Abuja, reads:
From Right, Suspected Financier of Boko Haram and Serving Senator at National Assembly Abuja, Senator Ali Ndume and The acclaimed spokesman of the Boko Haram Sect and former member of Political thug, ECOMOG in Borno State, Ali Sanda Umar Konduga, a.k.a Usman Alzawahiri Convicted by Court after pleaded guilty of the charges against hin in Court at Abuja. Photo by Gbemiga Olamikan.
“I and my family received with deep shock, the news of the arrest of my son Ali Sanda Konduga, his arraignment and subsequent conviction on the 22nd November, 2011 by an Abuja Magistrate Court.
“Ordinarily, we thought he will face a trial with counsel representation, for us to explain the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his mental health. Ali Sanda Konduga since his childhood has faced mental challenges. It is unfortunate that we now find ourselves in this situation. We shall therefore appeal against this judgement.
“We want to seize this opportunity to apologise to Sen. Ali Ndume, Late Amb. Saidu Pindar’s family and the entire elders of Borno State for the pain and embarrassment caused on account of the purported claims of my son. We plead for understanding of all as we strive to ensure the review of his unfortunate and improper conviction without a counsel representation”.
But the Department of State Service, in its response to this statement signed by Marilyn Ogar, Deputy Director, Public Relations, and titled NIGERIANS ARE NOT FOOLS reads:
“Since November 3, 2011 that the “son” was picked up, why has the so-called father not visited him atleast once to show that fatherly love and concerns? At what point did the “son” become insane? After he, as spokesman, had announced Boko Haram’s owning up to the bombings of Police Headquarters and the UN House? He did not come out then to tell Nigerians to discountenance the “son’s” claims because he was “insane”. A former GNPP leader in a legislative house , as the so-called father claims, addressed a press conference in an Abuja hotel in impeccable English but could not train the “son” to answer questions both at a press conference and at court in English.
“When Ali Konduga appeared in court the three lawyers that represented him and Senator Ali Ndume were neither SSS lawyers nor hired for them by the Service. It is on record that these counsel put up spirited defence of their clients throughout the court session. As the second accused, he voluntarily pleaded guilty, and at the court’s prompting for clarity, he repeated the guilty plea twice. So what is this “father” talking about access to independent counsel? Nigerians are not fools. They know where this is coming from”.
Meanwhile, Ndume has gone to court to challenge his continued detention by the SSS.

The SSS (State Security Service), 18th November, 2011, gave the story of how six suspected members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, used GSM handsets to detonate Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, that led to the death of 28 persons between March and July this year.
An investigation officer with the agency, Mr James Izi testifying to this prosecution said with the aid of mobile handsets, the suspects were able to set-off the IEDS at a reasonable distance.
He also said before the court that he has been involved in active investigation in the last 30 years, maintaining that the sect used the method to bomb the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Suleja, Niger state, on the eve of the presidential election in April.
About 16 persons, mostly ad-hoc workers engaged by INEC, lost their lives owing to the explosion.
The State Security Service, SSS, yesterday, narrated before a Federal High Court in Abuja, how six suspected members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, used GSM handsets to detonate Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, that led to the death of 28 persons between March and July this year.
An investigation officer with the agency, Mr James Izi who testified for this prosecution said with the aid of mobile handsets, the suspects were able to set-off the IEDS at a reasonable distance.
He also told the court that he has been involved in active investigation in the last 30 years, maintaining that the sect used the method to bomb the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Suleja, Niger state, on the eve of the presidential election.
About 16 persons, mostly ad-hoc workers engaged by INEC, lost their lives owing to the explosion.
Other places that he said were bombed with the same technique included the Dakna village, in Bwari, Abuja, on May 23, killing three Peace Officers, a church, the All Christian Fellowship Mission, ACFM, on July 10, killing three persons and the explosion that rocked a political rally in Suleja on March 3.
In his Examination-in-Chief , the witness said that sequel to recurring cases of bomb explosions in Niger state, the Director General of SSS, constituted a special team with a directive to trace, trail and apprehend masterminds of the heinous crime.
Consequently, the six accused persons, Shuaibu Abubakar a.k.a Abu Quatada, Salisu Ahmed, Umar Babagana Umar, Mohammed Ali, Musa Adam and Umar Ibrahim, who he identified as kingpins of the Boko Haram cell in Niger state, were smoked out of their respective hiding places.
Specifically, he told the court that the 1st, 3rd and 4th accused persons were apprehended at Kachia LGA of Kaduna state by a team of naval officers on duty, adding that they were caught in the process of transporting 200 detonators, blasting cables (55 yards) used for priming IEDs.
According to him, “on August 4, one of the accused persons, Salisu Ahmed was arrested at the Tipper Garage in Abuja. He led SSS operatives to a bomb-making factory at Nasarawa-Iku, where bomb-compounding elements were recovered. A lot of handsets used for detonating IEDs from a distance were equally recovered.”
He further told the court that on August 30, one Moh’d Dalhatu, who he said sold most of the items used in manufacturing bombs, was arrested at Azara, Awe LGA in Nasarawa state, adding that one Ibrahim Bashir used AK-47 rifle to train most members of the Islamic terrorist sect on how to handle weapons.
Stressing that investigation by the SSS disclosed that the suspects spent over N500, 000 in procuring IEDs, the prosecution witness further told the trial court that the 5th accused person, Musa Adam, hitherto acted as a spiritual adviser to the group.
Meantime, counsel to the accused persons, Mr Kelvin Okoro yesterday, made frantic efforts to disparage the oral evidence that was tendered against his clients by the SSS investigator.
Drawing attention of the trial judge in the matter, justice Aliyu Bilkisu to the fact that fingerprints of the accused were taken after they were arrested, he contended that no footprint analysis was done with a view to pinning the accused persons to the alleged terrorist act.
The case has been adjourned till November 24 and 25 to enable the prosecution to call three more witnesses against the accused persons.
All the accused persons had ab-initio pleaded not guilty to a 5-count charge that was read to them via an interpreter.
They allegedly committed acts of terrorism by detonating improvised explosive devices at various locations within the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Niger and Nasarawa states.
If convicted, the offence they allegedly committed is punishable with life imprisonment.
According to the charge sheet obtained by Saturday Vanguard, the accused person, “between June 4 and July 12, (both dates inclusive) at various locations in Suleja, Niger state, Azare, Nasarawa state and the FCT, did engage in an act of terrorism by encouraging through training persons now at large, the use of arms and ammunition, and the preparation, planting and detonation of improvised explosive devices for the purpose of terrorism and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 15 (2) of EFCC Act 2004 and punishable under the same section of the Act.”The State Security Service, SSS, yesterday, narrated before a Federal High Court in Abuja, how six suspected members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, used GSM handsets to detonate Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, that led to the death of 28 persons between March and July this year.
